Common Honey Teak questions (asked and answered):
|
Can the color be changed?
Yes. Apply a Minwax stain to bare wood first.
|
Can it be sprayed?
Yes, but we usually like to brush on the honey to ensure filling of deep seams,
uniformity of coats, etc. Both honey and the clear are sprayable in the brush-on mix
ratio, or with additional flow fluid.
|
Can I make my smooth areas and also my 2"
wide strip decking non-slip?
Yes. After masking out the smooth area pattern, add grit to the final coat of clear.
|
Is it a problem doing a long stretch
of hand or toe rail?
No. It's easy. Tape on a splice or butt seam. Apply all coats in this area. When dry,
remove first tape. Now apply tape slightly back on edge of previous coats. Apply all
coats in this area. When tape is removed and a slight overlap build-up is unacceptable,
simply block sand flat with #600 grit sand paper dry or wet. Then machine buff.
